What I understand from emersons essay is a lot of things. That we have to accept who we are and embrace it. We need to accept who we are what we like and stand up for what WE belive in. Not what anyone else believes. We can't let what people think or say interfere with our mind set. we all have our own beliefs and there's plenty of them out there and it's up to us to do our own research and not just rely on something that someone else told us. We are each individual's and we do not have to be the same, again we are each individual's WE are not meant to be the same we are meant to be US not katty perry not lady gaga just simply ourselves the best us we can be.(:
